CVI Director, Dr. Nora Disis was featured in a recent Women Trailblazers at UW Medicine virtual event which was moderated by Dr. Shaveta Vinayak, breast oncologist at UW Medicine and Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. Nora shares her experience being a woman in science and reflects back on the start of her career in cancer immunology, which has led her to become known as the “Mother of Cancer Vaccines.” She also shares her vision for the future of the UW Cancer Vaccine Institute and cancer vaccines.
