Dr. Liao is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the UW. He received his M.D. from George Washington University and his Ph.D. from Yale University. Dr. Liao completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training at the George Washington University Hospital. He completed his fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania. He is presently conducting ovarian cancer research as a Women's Reproductive Health Research Scholar sponsored by the National Institutes of Health. He is also the recipient of a Scientific Scholar Award from The Marsha Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer Research. His research focuses on the applications of immunotherapy and vaccines for ovarian cancer.
