The CVI is grateful to one of our longest and most generous donors—Wings of Karen. Kristi Blair established this foundation in honor of her late mother, Karen Denmark, to fund promising breast cancer research in the Pacific Northwest and Texas. The CVI named our WOKVAC breast cancer vaccine in recognition of Wings of Karen’s partnership. We recently completed the Phase I clinical trial of WOKVAC and are now moving into Phase II study of use in the neoadjuvant (before chemo) setting.
