Kiran Dhillon, PhD

Dr. Dhillon received a BS in Biology from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. She then completed her PhD in Genetics from the University of Washington, where she studied the in vivo functions of the Werner Syndrome protein. She completed her postdoctoral training at Fred Hutch where she studied the genetics and genomics of chemotherapy resistance in BRCA-associated breast and ovarian cancers. While at Fred Hutch, she also co-founded Hutch United, an organization that promotes the success and retention of under-represented and other minorities in the sciences. She joined the Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer as Director of Scientific Programs to oversee an international grants program, symposia, scientific communications, ovarian and breast cancer education, and participate in donor relations. As Executive Director, Dr. Dhillon manages, plans, and directs the research operations of the CVI.
